ISEA International

The series of ISEA symposia is coordinated by ISEA International. Founded in the Netherlands in 1990, ISEA International (formerly Inter-Society for the Electronic/Emerging Arts) is an international non-profit organisation fostering interdisciplinary academic discourse and exchange among culturally diverse organisations and individuals working with art, science and technology.

He envisages performativity in the pedagogy of BA Digital Art at UCA utilising the creative and conceptual possibilities of working with moving image and hybrid creative digital practices; performativity as a means for students to access something outside of the here and the now.

Our Main Activity

The organisation's main activity is the International Symposium on Electronic/Emerging Art (ISEA), an annual symposium that contributes to knowledge in the fields of art, science, and technology; supports emerging approaches to research and practice on complex and relevant topics; and generates interdisciplinary understanding by bringing together diverse communities of art practitioners and scholars.

After consulting our partners, it has been decided to reschedule ISEA2026, which was originally set to take place in Dubai from 10 to 19 April 2026. The new confirmed dates for ISEA2026 are 6 to 15 November 2026, in Dubai.
